Club Life

Lions Club Hannover-Expo has at present nearly 33 members – almost an equal number of men and women. The average age is about 40. We live and work in the southern region of Hannover – in Laatzen, Hemmingen, Pattensen and in the southern districts of Hannover. Our professions cover a wide social spectrum.

On the first Monday and third Wednesday of each month we hold our club evenings – generally at the Copthorne Hotel, Würzburger Straße 21, 30880 Laatzen – to plan and organise our voluntary activities or to exchange thoughts in a sociable atmosphere also with members from other Lions Clubs. In the scope of these club evenings additionally lectures are held by Lions-Friends and guests on social and cultural themes. Or, we visit exhibitions together which are of interest to our members, these widening our understanding and knowledge of cultural and socio-political contexts and serving our aims.

The encountering of an impartial and friendly atmosphere of mutual respect is important for us. We see this as a prerequisite for achieving the aims and tasks we have set ourselves.

Lions Club Hannover-Expo would like to express their thanks to our sponsor club Hannover-Wilhelm-Busch under its President LF Stefan Weisbrod, as well as its District-Governor 111-NH, LF Dr. Wolf-Rüdiger Reinicke, and its Cabinet Secretary NH, Silke Karmann-Ostmeyer for their active and friendly support during the founding and initial phase.
